Date: Wednesday 17th March 2021

Would you like to strengthen your understanding of accounting and financial management?

This workshop will build on your existing basic understanding of charity accounts and financial management.

It’s aimed at anyone involved in their organisation’s accounting – whether that’s Trustees, managers, staff or volunteers.

The workshop will cover the following:

  • Understanding financial statements for charities including reviewing an example set
  • Trustee responsibilities around financial management

A basic level of prior knowledge or experience is assumed, this includes attendance at the Introduction to Accounting and Financial Management for Small Charities workshop if you want to build on your learning. Clair Moelwyn-Williams will offer some real-life examples of best practice, as well as handy examples of where things can go wrong. With a maximum of 10 delegates there will be time for discussion and support.

This is the second of two sessions delivered by Clair on accounting and financial management. Details of the first – Introduction to Accounting and Financial Management for Small Charities, on 24 February can be found here. Each session is designed as a stand alone workshop so you can choose to attend either or both.

Clair Moelwyn-Williams FCA is a chartered accountant with a demonstrated history of working in the accounting and audit industry, specialising in the charity, social enterprise and not-for-profit sector.

No more than one delegate per organisation. Priority will be given to delegates from non-NPO and non-National museums in the West Midlands which are Accredited or officially Working Towards Accreditation.

The webinar will be live captioned by MyClearText, through StageText.

All participants will receive an email containing a Zoom link to the training prior to the event. If you have not received an email by the day of the webinar please contact us. Don’t worry; you don’t need a Zoom account, simply follow the link provided and enter the password.

If the booking button isn’t visible the webinar is fully booked. If you want to join the waiting list email wmmd@ironbridge.org.uk
