Creating Video for Social Media

A practical session to upskill a small group of delegates to create original video for a variety of social media channels.

Attendees will:

  • Learn how to create video content for social media
  • Leave with a bank of ideas to take back to their museum

The session will include an introduction to video for social media across different platforms and explore different styles and formats. Delegates will be supported to develop new ideas for content, understand what works well in video and find out how to plan, shoot and edit video. Delegates will undertake practical tasks and share their outcomes.

Equipment and software: To get the most from the workshop delegates may find it useful to bring a smartphone, with Canva*, Instagram, Tiktok and CapCut downloaded.

This event is suitable for non-specialists that would like to develop confidence and skills to use social media more effectively for their museum.

About the Trainer
The course will be delivered by Social for Good. Social for Good help purpose-driven organisations develop strategies to get control over their social media and maximise positive impact. They design and deliver bespoke training programmes and strategy workshops for organisations and groups to upskill, motivate and empower people to use social for good.

Bookings close: 9am, Thursday 23 November

Maximum two delegates per organisation. Priority will be given to delegates from non-NPO and non-National museums in the West Midlands which are Accredited or officially Working Towards Accreditation.
