Get the Most from Accreditation – Audience Development in Action

To survive and thrive museums and galleries should be planning to appeal to new audiences and deepening existing audience engagement.

Speakers at this practical workshop will share their experience of preparing for and attracting a wider range of audiences.

Ann Johnson, Wave-length CIC has visited dozens of museums in the region to assess physical and social barriers to visiting as part of our Access Audit programme. The suggestions in this session will be based on her findings and presented as achievable and measurable actions to grow your audience.

Jon Sleigh, Learning Officer, Birmingham Museums Trust will share approaches to engaging remote audiences with the collections and exhibitions, and the varied methods they’ve used on site.
