Consultation Underway on Shropshire’s New Cultural Strategy
Representatives from across the cultural sector are developing a new cultural strategy for Shropshire.
The aim of the cultural strategy is to provide the vision and ambition to support and strengthen Shropshire’s cultural sector, to direct new investment into cultural opportunities – including museums, the countryside, libraries, events and activities and much more.
The strategy will recognise that the provision of more support for the development of an attractive cultural offer will improve the life of every resident and provide a quality offer that will attract visitors to Shropshire.
Shropshire Council and its cultural partners now wish to get interested parties thoughts and feedback on early work to develop a new cultural strategy. To take part in the consultation, please visit this link: https://new.shropshire.gov.uk/get-involved/
The consultation will end on Friday 5 January 2018 and the feedback received will be used to inform the development of the final strategy.
During the consultation, three workshops have been organised in which attendees will have the opportunity to share their views and ideas on the development of a new cultural strategy.
Tuesday 28 November – Ludlow Assembly Rooms 4pm-6pm
Wednesday 29 November – Qube, Oswestry 2pm-4pm
Tuesday 12 December – University Centre, Shrewsbury 4pm-6pm
