This programme is co-created by young people (16-25 years) and will see two ‘Secret Visits’ to six museums in the West Midlands. A West Midlands Museum Development (WMMD) project in partnership with the Beatfreeks Collective and Service Science.
Focusing on the visitor experience, the programme will provide an opportunity for museums to test and develop its culture of customer care and aims to support the development of ideas to broaden the range of visitors to the museum.
There are just six places available to Accredited Museums or those officially Working Towards Accreditation. To get involved please complete an application form and return to email@example.com no later than 5pm, Monday 10 September 2018.
Each participating museum will receive:
- Two mystery shopper visits by two different audiences; mature visitors (45+ years) and young people (16-25 years)
- Two mystery shopper reports available via an online portal
- Face to face feedback from young people at a sharing event to be held in central Birmingham on 21 November, 2pm-5pm
- A detailed report with recommendations to help you improve your service
The Mystery Shopper programme will support Section 3 (Users and their Experiences) of the Museum Accreditation Standard.
