The Mercian Regiment Museum (Worcestershire) collects and preserves the history, traditions and achievements of the Mercian Regiment and its antecedent components (the Worcestershire Regiment and the Worcestershire and Sherwood Foresters Regiment).
The Museum is now looking to recruit two further trustees in order to add to its expertise in one or more of the following areas of skills and knowledge: finance, marketing, fundraising, the use of IT and social media, events management, retail management, managing restructuring and change. An interest in military history and/or the armed forces is an advantage – but previous military service is not required.
It is looking for individuals with a strong track record in strategy-development, leadership and general management, and who are confident in holding senior leaders to account and are willing and able to ask challenging and difficult questions. A history of working in strong local networks in Worcestershire is desirable.
