Date: Wednesday 3rd February 2021

The first of three bite-sized sessions from Roots HR. In this webinar Roots HR will outline essential knowledge for anyone managing volunteers in 2021. The presentation will be followed by a short Q&A.

After this session you will:

  • Have an awareness of the legal framework of engaging and managing volunteers
  • Understand the museum’s responsibility and obligations in terms of contracting, health & safety, payment and expenses
  • Have an awareness of how to manage museum and volunteer expectations
  • Better understand additional factors to consider in the time of Covid-19

This training is suitable for those who may be new to managing volunteers, or experienced delegates hoping to refresh their knowledge. Delegates may book any or all of the sessions.

Priority will be given to delegates from non-NPO and non-National museums in the West Midlands which are Accredited or officially Working Towards Accreditation.

The session will be live captioned by MyClearText, through StageText.

All participants will receive an email containing a Zoom link to the training prior to the event.  If you have not received an email by the day of the webinar please contact us.  Don’t worry; you don’t need a Zoom account, simply follow the link provided and enter the password.
