Funding for organisations outside of the National Portfolio

£50 million is available to organisations that are not in receipt of regular funding from the Arts Council.  This funding is only open to museums which are Accredited Museums.  You can apply for a maximum of £35,000.

This fund is to support organisations to get back on their feet, or to continue making work in the future that will mean they can contribute to delivering ACE’s new strategy, Let’s Create.

Click here for guidance and how to apply.

There will be two rounds of this fund.  You can apply to only one of these rounds.

Round one opens 9 April, closes midday 16 April

Round two opens 16 April, closes midday 30 April

Applications will be made using ACE’s Grantium portal.  Potential applicants will need to register on ACE’s application portal Grantium by early April if they do not already have a Grantium account.  There will be support for people to do this.

The fund will be split equally across both rounds.  Please apply to the round that suits your circumstances best.

Please note that, since this is an emergency response fund, ACE’s notice period for making and processing applications is much shorter than usual.  ACE may need to adjust the timelines depending on the volume of applications received.

If you are applying to both Arts Council England and National Lottery Heritage Fund to support Covid-19 response work, you should only accept funding from one funder.  You must indicate in your application to each funder if you have also applied to the other.

Details of guidance for individuals can be found here and guidance for National Portfolio Organisation will be issued here shortly.
