Arts Council England £160 million emergency funding available

ACE is making £160 million of emergency funding available for those organisations and individuals who will need it during this crisis, and ACE has also changed the funding requirements for individuals and organisations currently in receipt of its funding.

It will offer individuals and organisations working in the cultural sector new financial support during this crisis, totalling £160 million.  ACE has re-purposed all its investment strands to be able to offer this support.  These emergency funding streams will be open to applications very soon.  Full details can be here.

Funding for National Portfolio Organisations
ACE will be making £90 million available to NPOs.  It hopes organisations will use this funding to reboot their creative work, but ACE also understands it may be required to alleviate financial pressures on NPOs.

Funding for organisations outside of the National Portfolio
£50 million will be made available to organisations that are not in receipt of regular funding from the Arts Council.  Organisations who have applied to National Lottery Project Grants are welcome to apply for this support.

Funding for individuals
ACE wants to support artists, creative practitioners and freelancers as best we can in this crisis.  It’s making £20 million of financial support available to individuals, so they can better sustain themselves, and their work, in the coming months.

Register on Grantium today
Guidance for applicants including the detailed timetable for this fund will be published on 31 March (please note change of date).  Potential applicants will need to register on ACE’s application portal Grantium by Friday 3 April.  So if you haven’t already you may wish to set up an applicant profile for Grantium.  You can find a video explaining how to do this here, as well as a guidance document here.  Any queries regarding this process can be directed to our customer services team on enquiries@artscouncil.org.uk.
