Are you interested in books, plants, history, medicine, all of the above? George Marshall Medical Museum is hoping to create a small volunteer team to help the Curator find references to plants in its archive and book collection.
2020 will be the Museum’s year of the plant, celebrating the Power of Plants, with free planned events and talks for the general public. The Museum would like to celebrate not only the potential medicinal nature of some flowers, barks, roots and bulbs, but also how the act of gardening and being with nature might also heal.
The Power of Plants programme will start from February 2020, so there is plenty of time to get involved. The Museum has no expectations for the numbers of hours, or how often you might like to help, so please get in touch if you’d like more information.> Apply Now
