The Museum Freelance Network has responded to a growing call within the cultural sector for more training specifically aimed at the needs of freelancers – especially for those thinking about, or new to self-employment. This is particularly timely given that freelance workers are being recognised a critical part of the cultural workforce in the UK and are rapidly increasing in size.
They are running a practical and inspiring training workshop on 15 October 2018 designed to kick-start and sustain a flourishing freelance or consultancy business. The day is jam-packed with proven approaches, ideas and tools to get started, market yourself, find work, win work, manage your finances, handle client relationships and look after your health and wellbeing.
The course is run by Marge Ainsley and Christina Lister, experienced trainers and award-winning freelancers who work in the cultural sector and co-run the Museum Freelance Network.
Suitable for anyone thinking about, or in the early stages of freelancing with arts and heritage organisations across any art form or specialist area.
